Hemant Albert Soreng is a serial entrepreneur, digital evangelist, author, blogger, scuba diver, documentary filmmamker, high-altitude mountaineer, ironman triathlete and marathoner. Presently, he runs Rustik Travel, a sustainable experiential travel company that he has founded a few years ago. An early entrepreneur, in 2000, he co-founded eDeltaC Communications, one of the first digital marketing agencies in India, which was bought by Ogilvy, a top advertising agency worldwide, after two years of profitable operations. He then moved on to work for various companies in leadership positions for several years (a period he calls ‘sabbatical’) until he plunged into entrepreneurship again.

He is also a guest faculty in various Business Schools, a speaker in various forums and regularly advises young entrepreneurs in the Internet space. He is an Electronics & Communication engineer from DCE and has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB).

An avid blogger and writer, he has published many books and continues writing about adventure, travel, digital marketing, entrepreneurship and related topics.

Hemant Albert Soreng is a marketing professional, serial entrepreneur and founder of Rustik Travel, an initiative very close to his heart in the area of sustainable experiential travel and social entrepreneurship.

He has more than 22 years of work experience primarily in the Digital Media, Marketing & Technology domain with strong exposure in Brand Building, Community Management, Marketing Communications, Ecommerce, Web solutions, Analytics and CRM. This experience spans across different types of organizations in the digital space in leadership positions including marketing organization – Lenovo, multinational advertising & digital agencies – HTA, Ogilvy & Starcom, and Internet start-ups – BridgeOverTW, DBS Internet Services & eDeltaC Communications.

He has been an early entrepreneur in the digital marketing domain. He was the CEO and co-founder of eDeltaC Communications, a digital marketing agency, setup in 2000. eDeltaC was one of the first digital marketing companies in India and was eventually sold to Ogilvy after two years of profitable operations.

He was introduced to the Internet as early as 1995 in his business school; and he went on to write a research paper “Internet Marketing in India” as part of his dissertation. Since then he decided to convert this passion to his profession.

He is an active member of the digital marketing fraternity in India. He is a regular speaker and contributor in various forums. He is a Guest Faculty at various Business Schools teaching different aspects of Digital Marketing.
 He closely follows the trends worldwide, which were particularly useful in his earlier role at Lenovo, where he was involved in global digital marketing initiatives. He was also instrumental in bringing the mega global festival Social Media Week to India.

His interests include traveling, trekking, mountaineering, running, cycling, swimming and music. He loves to write and is a published author with a fiction novel "Start Me Up". He went to school in Delhi at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya. He is an engineering graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (1995) in Electronics & Communication and has an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (1997).
